TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ADVERTISING IN THE BROADSTONE LINK, THE CORFE MULLEN LINK AND THE UPTON LINK MAGAZINES

(Terms & Conditions - Printer Friendly Pdf)

All adverts are accepted by Broadstone Link Ltd on the understanding that they are copyright free. This includes any images, logos, photos, trade logos, clip art or any other content that is used in the advert. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to acquire any necessary permission for the use of any images, logos, photos, trade logos, clip art or any other content that is used in their advert/editorial/article/any other content.

It is the advertiser’s responsibility to check the advert and ensure that it is correct at copy approval stage, in writing/via email. No responsibility will be taken by Broadstone Link Ltd for any errors subsequently identified (i.e. after copy approval). It is the advertiser’s sole responsibility to supply new artwork or advise of or request changes to artwork by the relevant copy deadline. Deadline dates can be viewed on the website.

Any logos/images/photos supplied should be a minimum of 300dpi. No responsibility can be taken for the print quality of any image/logo/photo supplied at a lower resolution. Also, as certain colours that you can see on a computer monitor cannot be replicated when using standard printing inks, when selecting colours for your advert/editorial/article/design we recommend using CMYK colour builds to avoid potential RGB conversion issues. No responsibility can be taken for sub-par results if files supplied have been created in RGB.

Any adverts supplied in JPEG, PDF or any other pre-prepared format will be inserted into Broadstone Link Ltd as supplied and will be assumed not to require copy approval. These files should be supplied at a minimum of 300dpi. No responsibility can be taken for the print quality of any advert supplied at a lower resolution. These files may be re-sized to fit the appropriate space.

Any advert/editorial/article/design which Broadstone Link Ltd has created cannot be used in another publication or advertising medium (e.g. website) without the written approval of Broadstone Link Ltd. A fee will be payable to Broadstone Link Ltd if an advertiser wishes to re-use an advert/editorial/article/design in this way.

Broadstone Link Ltd reserves the right to refuse/edit advertisements at our discretion.

Full payment is required by the copy deadline date to ensure publication of the advert. Any adverts for which payment has not been received will not be published. Six- and 12-month bookings can be paid for by standing order, with first payment by copy deadline date. Up to 4-month bookings will be invoiced in full unless a multi-magazine booking has been made and payment arrangements agreed. There is no additional multi-magazine discount for key page bookings.

Once an advertising package has been confirmed, either by an advertiser signing and returning the order confirmation form or by confirmation telephone call, e-mail or letter, no refunds can be given if the advertiser subsequently decides that they wish to cancel the advertising package.

Advertisers who arrange on going advertising and pay for their advert by standing order are advised that their advert will be printed in the magazine until such time as they notify Broadstone Link Ltd that they wish to cancel. Standing orders must be set up so that payment is received by Broadstone Link Ltd by the copy deadline date i.e. prior to printing or as agreed. It is the advertiser’s responsibility to inform Broadstone Link Ltd if they wish to stop running their advert. Notification of cancellation must be received by the copy deadline date. If the advertiser cancels their standing order without telling Broadstone Link Ltd and the advert is published, the advertiser will be invoiced separately for the advertising cost.

Advertisers who pay by a cheque which is subsequently returned unpaid will be additionally invoiced for any banking fee charged as a result to Broadstone Link Ltd, as well as an administration fee of £10.

Broadstone Link Ltd gives no guarantee of the level of response to adverts/editorial/articles etc. Broadstone Link Ltd is unable to offer refunds if no responses are received.

The distribution areas and distribution dates of Broadstone Link Ltd may vary at the discretion of the publisher.

All invoices are payable within 14 days of the date stated on the invoice or by the copy deadline date, whichever is sooner and in no circumstances shall the advertiser be entitled to make any deduction or withhold payment for any reason at all.

Without prejudice to any other rights of Broadstone Link Ltd if the advertiser fails to pay the invoice price by the due date the advertiser shall not be allowed any discount given in that invoice or in any other way agreed and shall pay interest on any overdue amount from the date of which payment was due to the date of actual payment (whether before or after judgment) on a daily basis at a rate of 4% p.a. over the base rate from time to time quoted by National Westminster Bank plc and shall reimburse to Broadstone Link Ltd all costs and expenses (including legal costs) incurred in the collection of any overdue amount.

Due to the volume of advertisers and requests made, Broadstone Link Ltd cannot guarantee page placement of an advert in each issue unless a premium page is booked /additional payment is made for a specific page. We will endeavour to rotate from month to month and place advert opposite editorial of some description, e.g. one month advert will be in the front half of the magazine, the next month in the back half at the editor’s discretion.

Broadstone Link Ltd shall not be liable or deemed to be in breach of contract by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of Broadstone Link Ltd’ obligations in relation to their services or publication and distribution of the publications, if the delay or failure was due to any cause beyond Broadstone Link Ltd’ reasonable control. Without limiting the foregoing, the following shall be regarded as causes beyond Broadstone Link Ltd’ reasonable control: act of God, adverse weather, explosion, flood, tempest, fire or accident, war or threat of war, sabotage, insurrection, civil disturbance or requisition, acts, restrictions, regulations, bye-laws, prohibitions or measures of any kind on the part of any governmental parliamentary or local authority, strikes, lock-outs or other industrial actions whether involving employees of Broadstone Link Ltd or a third party, difficulties in obtaining raw materials, labour, fuel, parts or machinery, power failure or breakdown in machinery or technology.

Note: Where the term advert is used this means any advertisement, editorial, article, or any other material (e.g. community content) supplied for publication.
